glob

Welcome to the glob!

I named this “glob” because it serves as a depository for a diversity of topics. It’s a big glob of goodies you can pick through to find meaningful, relevant information for your own life.

In the glob you will find business advice, leadership insights, energy increasers, inventions, diagrams, communication tips, new perspectives, and other various and sundry morsels.

Some glob posts will also have an “Experiment”, which is the glob equivalent to the homework I give clients. Experiments are ways for you to get out of your head and into the real world. Otherwise it’s all just theory and conjecture, yes?

The glob will evolve as things do so please visit often, share your thoughts, ask questions, and, if you are so inclined, let us all know how an experiment goes if you choose to do one.

Visualizing Information

19 April, 2009 (15:28) | diagrams, glob | By: sadee

I saw this diagram and was blown away by it. I am a huge fan of both e.e.cummings and diagrams - so imagine my delight when I found this: visualizing e.e.cummings.

It’s worth looking at the site and reading about it.
I love this because of what it implies: that we can convey information in such interesting [...]

Out of your mind

10 April, 2009 (14:32) | bodymind integration, effectiveness, glob | By: sadee

A core theme of my work is differentiating between the stories we live in our minds and reality.
Let me state up front that I’m a big fan of reality - so my bias is toward getting out of your head and your stories and into reality.
The problem is that most of us don’t even realize [...]

Dimensionalize Yourself

9 April, 2009 (13:58) | business, effectiveness, entrepreneurs, executive, glob | By: sadee

“Know Thyself.”
These words are written over the gates at Delphi.
I would say they are still relevant centuries later but would add this:
Know thyself in the context of your ambition.
Too often we emphasize our strengths in a way that is more an avoidance of weakness than an expression of what we are good at.
Knowing yourself in the [...]

The He:art of Service is the first creation in the Size Matters series.

The He:art of Service is a model of living in service. In it you will learn the following:
Your WOW: Why, Offer, Who

Why: this is your Raison D’etre (in service)
Offer: What you offer - your skills, knowledge, talents, network, etc.
Who: your ideal community, clients, boss, friends, lover, [...]

Want an absolutely incredible life? This is the #1 thing you must have

7 April, 2009 (14:35) | connection, effectiveness, glob, purpose, vitality | By: sadee

Clients tell me what they want. They tell me who they want to be and what they want to accomplish. And they tell me how disappointed they are that they aren’t doing more. Then I ask them this:
“Do you have enough energy for the life you have right now?”
No one has ever said “Yes”.
Isn’t that [...]

I’m rich! I’m wealthy! Im socially secure! (You can be, too!)

28 March, 2009 (16:58) | connection, effectiveness, glob, purpose | By: sadee

This economy nonsense is really so unnecessary.
I’m not saying it’s not real. The nonsense part is about limiting wealth to the monetary aspect of the definition.
The reason I’m writing this is because I have had an abundance of great energy lately. So many people are being loving, and I am seeing so much caring and [...]

18 March, 2009 (20:49) | 2-10 citizen, connection, effectiveness, glob | By: sadee

What keeps you from connecting?

16 March, 2009 (21:49) | connection, glob | By: sadee

There are so many wonderful people with good hearts offering so many great resources. But so few people take them up on their offer.
Have you encountered a great offer but not engaged?
What keeps you from connecting?

Do you know about anwerbag.com?

14 March, 2009 (16:42) | glob | By: sadee

I recently discovered a site called answerbag.com. You can ask questions ranging from health issues to really out there. For example: this morning I answered a question about the best way for a woman to get rid of belly fat as well as a question about the weirdest milk to make cheese from. (I said kitty [...]

There’s more to vitamins and health than meets the eye

10 March, 2009 (19:12) | effectiveness, glob, vitality | By: sadee

I was reading a blog post on ecademy today where the author suggested that your physician is the best person from which to learn which vitamin products have stood the test of time.
I completely disagree.
Medical school physicians have, on average, 25 hours of nutrition training. Nutrition falls into a preventative medicine category, which allopathic medicine is [...]
